God is not Racist
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:28-29.
Just the thought of God not being racist or selective, puts a smile on my face. There’s a narrative in society now and it suggests, everything is about race. The Mexicans, the Chinese, the Jews and the Blacks are all subjected to racism at the hands of the whites. Everything today is about race!
Race is the idea that the human species is divided into distinct groups on the basis of inherited physical and behavioural differences. In today’s world the term race generally refers to a group of people who have in common some visible physical traits, such as skin colour, hair texture, facial features and eye formation. Racism on the other hand is prejudice, discrimination or hatred directed at someone because of their colour, ethnicity or national origin, simply put HATE.
Brothers and sisters, I was sent a video by a friend showing how we as black people are exposed to racism. In some sense I saw it as being educational but in another sense, I saw it as a plan of the enemy to keep us divided. Thanks be to God I took this opportunity to say, BUT GOD, for God so love the world that He gave. He didn’t say to a particular ethnic group, financial status, colour or country of origin but the world.
Today God has called us to use every opportunity He as given us to spread the Gospel. Ephesians 4:3 urges us to, “endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” It went on to say in verses 4-6 that, there is one body, one Spirit, one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one God and Father who is in us all. God and His love has no boundaries.
