Oh how our experiences can "loom" so large in our mind. Taking such root in our soul and then taking us even down a pathway of fear.
Let us ask God to restore our soul, to clean us of all the old that would cloud our decisions.
Fear is a primal behaviour mechanism that is birthed from negative experiences. It can be a healthy mechanism as we grow up, it causes one to build boundaries, eg: babies will not touch a hot iron twice, they usually learn from that single experience, but what of the traumatic experiences? Or those experiences that seem to happen again and again? These experiences can truly affect our choices, relationships and even bring torment to our minds.
May God set us completely free today in Jesus name.
A friend shared this quote:
"May our choices reflect our hopes and not our fears"
It is a quote by Nelson Mandela
I thought these words were prolific even to the times and seasons as we close 2020.
As we start this new week may this be our mind set. With God's grace we can stay in hope, faith and trust.
This is my prayer for you as we end 2020 in just a few days.
May you finish the year with renewed hope and expectancy
In Jesus name
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
