Endure into the promise

Hebrews 12 NLT

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.[a] Because of the joy[b] awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people;[c] then you won’t become weary and give up

May we run with endurance.

But what is endurance?

Two meanings from the Websters

1 The ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way

2 The capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear.

We can gain grace and strength from God while we endure and it makes a difference when we know there is something wonderful ahead. When we are assured how the race will end because we are in Christ. If you focus on what you are enduring, you will faint. If like Christ we focus on the Joy ahead we can endure.

Do you see it as already being done? Faith believes then "sees"

I can testify of the goodness of God...he certainly makes EVERYTHING beautiful in his time.

Abraham was able to "see" all that God had ahead for him.

Hebrews 6 NLT

10 For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers,[b] as you still do. 11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

God’s Promises Bring Hope

13 For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name, saying:

14 “I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.”[c]

15 Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.

Will you take confidence in God? Because he is faithful.

Rest in HIM for you will certainly have all that God said you would.

Do not faint

Do not be weary

Take confidence in God.

He is not limited because of a Pandemic.

He will do what he said!

And while you wait, delight yourself in him

Amen

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again
