Disappointments can be God's intervention to avert disaster

We all have disappointments in life and some of them can shock us and wound us so deeply. We are not immune to disappointments just because we are Christians, rain falls on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45) and time and chance happens to all (Ecllesiastes 9:11).

But the beautiful thing about being in relationship with God is we can cry out to him and grieve IN HIM.

Let us be determined we will not stay in the place of disappointment though. Let us receive comfort from him and look to him to heal us.

It may take a little while, but I have really grown to trust God.

Sometimes he intervenes in ways we don't understand and averts us from an even greater danger with those disappointments. Trust him he knows best. It is imperative that we learn any lessons we can from that experience and then let it go.

Look forward again (no matter how many times you have been disappointed) because God always has better for you.

Remember in even our deepest darkest experiences, God can turn it around into something beautiful and cause it to work for our good and his glory.

I pray today that God will heal you of the pain of all those disappointments you have had in this life. I pray he will renew and restore your hope. I pray he will give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning.

May God establish his promises in our life according to:

Psalm 90:14/15

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,

that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,

and for as many years as we have seen evil

Amen

Walk good in Christ

My friends

Till we meet again
