Connect
“For she said, If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole,” Mark 5:28. Matthew 14:30-31, “…. he was afraid: and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him ….
We Christians many times find ourself asking the question, why me? Especially when we are experiencing a time in our life where everything we touch produces pain. We feel much like the woman with the issue of blood; twelve years being sick and spent all she had on physicians. But after that connection with Jesus, she became whole. Whole here signifies restoration of everything in her life.
We accept Jesus Christ but are we truly connected. Think about the definition of connect; to be joint together, linked, fasten, to be united, to bind, to have contact with. That connection is dependent on our faith. We cannot experience the effect of being connected without faith. If Peter wasn’t aware of Jesus’ ability to save, he would not ask Him to save him. When the woman with the issue of blood heard of Jesus, she had to connect.
Beloved, we have to believe Jesus is able in order to connect. After connecting, by faith we have to believe this connection will produce changes, not in some aspects of our lives but life in its entirety. Philippians 2:10, “and ye are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
God Bless.
