24/7 Christianity
Pastor Lawrence spoke on “The Mark of an Effective Church” this past Sunday. As he went through this teaching, he touched on a couple of points. He spoke on Church Leadership, Active Church Members and Effective Christianity to name a few.
Consider these quotes; we do not live our lives in Church, there are no 50-50 Christians. He went on to say, devotion to your family comes first; he emphasized marriages and children. It’s not about putting God first – all is God, he said. Proverbs 3:6, “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” He also stated, it’s not when you are in Church for 2-3hrs, once or twice weekly, that defines us but when we are outside the walls of the Church.
Today, my question to you is, are you a 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week Christian or it’s just on a Sunday. An effective Christian is one that lives a Christian life 24/7, a Christian that lives by faith and exercises a Christian lifestyle. Pastor Lawrence said, we don’t live our lives in Church just on a Sunday because Monday is coming. Our Christian identity is under attack from society and this sways our walk and our stance. Yet, we are still mandated to live Christ-like.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me,” Galatians 2:20. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit,” Romans 8:1. Are you a 24/7 Christian?
