For the past four weeks I blogged on Christian persecution but this week I will focus on child sacrifice. The Bible speaks strongly of God's wrath and judgement to individuals, culture and nations that preform such wicked acts. See, (Leviticus 20:2-5).
The Bible also contains many warnings against the abominable practices of the Canaanites, who had previously possessed the land God gave to Israel. One such admonition: “You shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech” (Leviticus 18:21). “Passing through the fire” was an abominable practice in which people sought to appease the heathen god Molech and seek his benefit by sacrificing their own children by fire. Molech is a Canaanite deity associated in biblical sources with the practice of child sacrifice. Bible references Deuteronomy 18:10–13, 2 Kings 16:3 and 2 Kings 21:6 and Ezekiel 20:26,31 and 23:37.
Who would have thought that this ancient heathen practice would so plainly be happening in our modern-day world.
The Christian Broadcasting Network News, previously reported that a 13-year-old Christian girl and her 11-year-old brother were reportedly abducted by a radical Muslim woman and sold to a witch doctor for ritual sacrifice.
There are an estimated three million traditional "healers," or witch doctors in Uganda. Hundreds of Ugandan children are kidnapped and murdered as part of a thriving human sacrifice business.
Child sacrifice in Uganda is such a serious and widespread problem that the government has even set up an anti-child sacrifice and human trafficking task force through foreign help, intervention, influences and charity. the following video may contain content that disturbing to some...
What is "passing through the fire" ?
Who is the God of child sacrifice? What modern-day country was mentioned in the video? What is the age and name of the child mentioned in the video? Give three Biblical references on child sacrifice? What can you do to stop and/or expose modern-day child sacrifice?
Please add to your prayer list this terrible but important issue of modern-day child sacrifice.
