Dear friends/Ministry Partners
As I listened to the Lord carefully, I began to understand a key into adoption
As I meditated on the verses about the peacemakers - those will be called the sons of God
Let me share the verses but in order to come into a full understanding of these verses, we need to read the verses above and below.
Matthew 5
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS
FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF GOD
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
It is possible to believe but not surrender all, so the heart and mind remains unregenerated.
We don't want to miss God, so may we yield and submit.
Psalm 34:14
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
It is impossible to have the fruit of the Spirit if we do not chose to give up all the old, to embrace the new in Christ. I tell you friends there is no halfway there. Once there is halfway there is compromise.
The fruit of the Spirit (including peace) comes out of the flow of relationship with God.
Peacemakers, are those who promote God’s peace. This peace is taken from the Hebrew word shalom, which can be defined as total or complete well being—both personal peace, peace with others and sharing the peace of God all around. In this statement, Jesus is stating that those who put their faith in Him and actively pursue peace and peacemaking will be adopted as children of God, as they CHOOSE to reflect the Father's character of peace and unity.
The peacemakers are called children of God simply because they have been given new hearts through Jesus (after surrender) and are reflecting the peace of God as they are made more and more Christlike.
Amen
Insofar as we are making peace, we show ourselves to belong to God’s family.
Injustice and persecution seem to be rife in these perilous times, but we must endeavour to remain in God's peace and keep the peace with others as much as is possible. Honestly, we need God's help to be able to do this.
Let us pray
Abbah Father
We need your grace to be peacemakers. In a world of such turmoil, turbulence and violence may you give that special grace we need Lord. May we learn the power of walking away just because we want to remain in your peace and not give way to the fleshly impulses. May we pray more than we say and when you tell us to speak we will speak. Help us to discern the enemy from afar and never to fall into his trap and pitfalls, because when we do, we have to climb "the ladder" all over again. Father we choose your will and your way above all else. We renounce and denounce, anger, strife, contention, resentment, unforgiveness anything at all that would distract us. Help us to walk in the Spirit. Take away every thought of retaliation from us as we may suffer injustice in any form.
Thank you Father for grace grace grace and more grace
In Jesus name we pray
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
