Ask God for Wisdom and he will give generously

I have witnessed many doing spiritual warfare or functioning with giftings without the boundary of "wisdom"

It quite amuses me some who if the glass falls of the table because of the natural laws of gravity, they begin warfare

Still others if the baby cries too loudly

"It's the Devil's fault"

Sometimes instead of engaging the enemy we really should be in the place of repentance and responding with humility to the fiery refining God may be putting us through.

Wisdom is a necessary ingredient to function in any gift that God gave us.

No matter how gifted we may be if we lack wisdom we will not reflect God's truth or his love.

The Greek word for wisdom is sophia and it refers to the intimate understanding of God’s Word and His commandments which results in holy and upright living

Wisdom comes from listening to God carefully and allowing his word to govern our heart, mind and thoughts.

Here are some verses on wisdom:

James 3:17 ESV But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

Proverbs 3:13-18 ESV Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. ...

Proverbs 1:7 ESV The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Remember at all times we are God's representatives here on earth, it is a spiritual battle and it is God and the armies of angels that are actively engaged in the battle. Sometimes when I listen to some individuals rant and rave at the enemy with their emotions, I wonder if they really believe there will be effective deliverance in those battles fought "shouting at the enemy". There is so much to learn about spiritual warfare, it begins first with listening to God carefully and then moving out with wisdom.

Here are the final words on this topic

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Walk Good in Christ

Till we meet again
