Good morning friends
As I sought the Lord in the wee hours on Wednesday morning I turned to the book of Matthew Chapter 20 and there was so much "food" for me in that chapter. I will share what God wants me to share here with you.
In verse 21 Jesus asks the mother of Zebedee
"What do you wish?"
And again in verse 32
Jesus calls out to the blind men
"What do you want me to do for you?"
Now two revelations come from these verses:
The first is this:
God is saying ask and you shall receive
Ask!
Let's not limit God because of our past experiences or because challenges seem to be surrounding us.
Listen to these words carefully and keep meditating on them
Matthew 7 to 11
7 “[c]Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will [instead] give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will [instead] give him a snake? 11 If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.
God wants to give us good things and since we have proved him as a good Father, we should ask within his perfect will. His ways and his will is best.
Amen
Now of note Jesus asked the people what they needed. Jesus was here on earth to serve.
In living the surrendered life for God.
Our prayer changes from what we want to Lord, what would you have us to do. Heavenly Father let your perfect will be done and your Kingdom come.
In Jesus name
Amen
May we live each day in God's service, tending the vineyards and loving others. That is how they will truly know we are Christians
Not by what we earn or own
But by how we love and serve
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
