An attitude of thanksgiving

Feeling disturbed, distressed or despondent?

Let's try to shift our focus and begin to count our blessings and when we do this automatically we will begin to give God thanksgiving. An attitude of thanksgiving leads us into much more.

Psalm 100:1-5

1Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!

2Serve the LORD with gladness!

Come into his presence with singing!

3Know that the LORD, he is God!

It is he who made us, and we are his;

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4Enter his gates with thanksgiving,

and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5For the LORD is good;

his steadfast love endures for ever,

and his faithfulness to all generations.

When we begin to give God thanksgiving our focus shifts to the place of remembering all the good things God has done for us and all he has brought us through. We focus on God's goodness and all the grace and mercy he has extended to us. He is a good Father. He the good Father.

It's a good habit to cultivate - just thank God always.

Worry usually means we are looking too far ahead with fear. Thanksgiving truly leads us to trusting God for all we need

1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18

16Rejoice always,

17pray without ceasing,

18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

As we start this new week, may we be mindful of the fact that even on our worse days we have much to thank God for and he is still worthy of all our best praise, adoration and worship

There is not one good thing that God withhold when we walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11)

So why not "pay it forward" by giving thanksgiving even for those needs that we have

God will fill those needs. Trust him!

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
