Eternity is the place God guarantees for us through Christ Jesus.
We should make this our focus instead of striving with and for temporal "things" designed for the fulfillment and gratification of the flesh.
The flesh and it's appetites daily progress into corruption.
Galatians 6:7 to 10 AMP
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. 8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. 10 So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers).
So what should our focus be?
Eternity with God.
We should live such zeal and thirsting to know God and in the preparation of eternity being spent in God's glory.
How we might ask, because we still exist in this world?
Imagine this those things we may strive for and with, we definitely will not take with us when we leave this earth realm.
May this be our focus and order our choices, speaking, actions and lifestyle to live for God and glorify him for the
things established in God's word and his love will last forever. Those acts of kindness, agape love and ordered through sacrifice from God's instructions (obedience) are what matters each day.
May we live each day with God and eternity as not only our priority but our focus too.
May we live each day to know Christ and glorify God
In Jesus name
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
