Abiding

Good day friends

Let talk about abiding.

To “abide” is to live, continue, or remain; so, to abide in Christ is to live in Him or remain in Him.

John 15:4 -8

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples

Abiding - staying, waiting in God's presence, living out of the flow of relationship with God.

It is wonderful to be in him

Just to live, move and have our very being in him (Acts 17:27 - 28 Amplified)

27 This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of [f]your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children

May we abide in God's presence, it is our heart's desire.I pray that God would remove anything that would seperate us from him and cause us to abide.

Let's look at what could move us out of God's presence, the truth is once we have moved into expressing (not just feeling) anxiety, fear, doubt and unbelief (and more). We have moved out of God's presence, we have moved out of abiding. For many of us though we have been so conditioned for a lifetime to give way to those responses, we not even be aware of these responses as it has become like "reflex actions"

I pray God would just settle us, so root and ground us in his love and cause us to rest and remain in him. When we do we become unshakeable even in these perilous times and as we face much that could distract us by placing a demand on us such as intensive work loads and responsibilities.

With abiding comes the grace and peace that passes all understanding, because we are aligned to God’s perfect will. We can walk through the fire, trials, adversities, face any storm - when we abide.

Psalm 16:8 - 11 AMP

8 I have set the Lord continually before me;

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices;

My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety,

10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead),

Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

11 You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

WE ABIDE IN YOUR PRESENCE LORD, for there is no better place to be

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again
